Green Classroom: Opening Ceremony of the School Garden in Kempen
Supporting the Next Generation: On 10 September 2024, the new school garden of the Astrid Lindgren School in Kempen was officially inaugurated. To celebrate the school’s 160th anniversary, our company presented the Kempener school with an extraordinary gift: a generously designed school garden.

“We love Kempen and are delighted to contribute in our own small way to the already high quality of life here.” Ralf Schmitz
Together with Mayor Christoph Dellmans, Deputy Headmistress Ms Fröhling, Ralf Schmitz, Dr Axel Schmitz, First Deputy of the City Mr Gielen and Mr Hamelmann, we had the pleasure of opening the new garden.
The garden includes an outdoor classroom with 30 seats, a sandbox, a climbing wall, a basketball hoop, a nest swing, a mud kitchen, student planting beds for free cultivation, picnic benches and a hammock – a true paradise for the pupils of Kempen.
A big thank-you also goes to Mr Hamelmann, who played a key role in bringing this project to life. We look forward to seeing how this garden will enrich both the learning and leisure time of the children.
